The Defender Security U 9552 Stainless Steel Lock and Door Reinforcer is designed to prevent forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door. It can be used to reinforce and repair metal, fiberglass, and wood doors. Constructed from stainless steel, the lock reinforcer plate comes in a stainless steel finish. All the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation.
The lock reinforcement plate is pre-punched for mounting and is designed for a snug fit on 1-3/4 inch thick doors. Measuring 4-5/16 inches wide by 9 inches tall, the reinforcement plate accommodates key-in knob locksets on doors with 2-1/8 inch bore sizes and a 2-3/4 inch backset from the edge of the door. The door reinforcer is recessed for latch installation when the door latch area is damaged. Install the door reinforcer and then insert the latch through the recessed area for proper mounting.
This door guard is constructed from solid brass and helps to protect your door from forced entry. It can be used on wood or metal doors with mortise or drive-in latches, and it can also accommodate key-in knob locksets or deadbolts.
ADDED SECURITY: Prevent forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door with the non-recessed door lock reinforcer. Use it to reinforce and repair both metal, fiberglass, and wood doors when the latch area has been compromised.
BUILT TO LAST: Made of stainless steel, the door lock reinforcement plate comes in a natural finish to fit over a single bore hole on your door.
EASY INSTALLATION: All the necessary mounting hardware is included with the lock reinforcement plate for a quick and easy installation. The door reinforcer plate is pre-punched for mounting.
