The Defender Security U 9540 Solid Brass Lock and Door Reinforcer is designed to prevent forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door. It can be used to reinforce and repair metal, fiberglass, and wood doors. The lock reinforcer plate is constructed of solid brass and comes in a brass finish. All the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation, and the plate is pre-punched for mounting.

The reinforcer is designed to fit snugly on 1-3/8 inch thick doors, measuring 3-7/8 inches wide by 9 inches tall. It accommodates key-in knob locksets on doors with 2-1/8 inch bore sizes and a 2-3/8 inch backset from the edge of the door. The door reinforcer is recessed for latch installation when the door latch area is damaged, allowing you to insert the latch through the recessed area for proper mounting.

The included latch guard is constructed from steel and finished in gray, designed to protect your door from forced entry. This style of latch guard is used on inswinging doors.

DIMENSIONS: The door lock reinforcement plate is designed for 1-3/8 inch thick doors only that have a 2-1/8 inch bore hole through the door, with a 2-3/8 inch backset from the edge of the door to the center of the bore holes.

NOTE: It is important to dry fit the 3-7/8 inch wide by 9 inch tall door lock reinforcer with a 0.03 inch thickness before permanently installing, and refer to the line art drawing to ensure it meets your needs before purchasing.
